Before we begin

Website project terms.

Understand the scope, payments, changes, ownership, handover and ongoing costs before approving a SiteGuys website project.

Clear expectations, agreed in writing.
The agreement in context

The written proposal makes the details yours.

These are SiteGuys’ general website project terms. Your written proposal confirms the work to be delivered, responsibilities, fees and arrangements specific to your project. Review both before you approve the work.

The proposal identifies included revisions, acceptance steps, access and any separate services. If anything is unclear, ask us before approving.

Your guide

Find what matters before you commit.

Under the standard arrangement, SiteGuys begins after the written scope is agreed, the 50% advance is received, and required content and access are provided securely. The remaining 50% is due after the approved work is complete and before launch or handover. An agreed monthly plan follows its written payment and handover terms instead. The full terms are below.

01 / Start

Before work begins.

The first conversation and quote are free. The written scope, initial payment and required information are the starting conditions for a project.

Free review and written scope

01

In plain English You can ask for a review and quote without committing. We begin the agreed work after the scope is approved, payment is received and the needed content and access are provided securely.

Full term

The initial website review and quote are free and carry no obligation. Work begins after the written scope is agreed, the advance payment is received and required content and access are provided through agreed secure methods.

02 / Payment

When payments are due.

The standard schedule has two payments. A monthly arrangement follows the dates and launch terms in your written proposal instead.

Advance payment

02

In plain English The standard advance is 50%. It is refundable before the agreed work begins and non-refundable after work begins, subject to your legal rights.

Full term

Unless a monthly payment schedule has been agreed in writing, a 50% advance payment is required to begin the agreed work. It is refundable if that work has not begun and non-refundable once work begins, subject to applicable statutory rights. The proposal identifies the scope and start arrangements.

Completion payment and handover

03

In plain English The remaining 50% is due after the approved work is complete and before the production launch, handover or release of the agreed files and access. Your proposal sets the acceptance and revision steps.

Full term

For standard payments, the remaining 50% is due after completion of the approved scope and before production launch, handover, or release of agreed website files and access. Acceptance steps, revisions and any change requests are documented in the project scope.

Monthly payment options

04

In plain English If you choose an agreed monthly plan, its payment dates and launch or handover arrangements are written into your proposal.

Full term

Easy monthly payment options are available. Ask us about a payment schedule for your project. For an agreed monthly plan, payment dates, launch and handover arrangements are set out in your written proposal.

03 / During & after

Changes, care and results.

Your proposal defines the approved work and revision steps. New work needs an agreed change and price; care after launch is addressed separately.

Optional care and changes

05

In plain English Maintenance and support are optional unless an approved scope discloses a required service. Extra work needs an agreed change and price. Search visibility, AI citations, leads and revenue cannot be promised as outcomes.

Full term

Ongoing maintenance and support are optional unless a specific required service dependency is disclosed in the approved scope. Additional work outside that scope requires an agreed change and price. No search ranking, AI citation, lead volume or revenue outcome is guaranteed.

04 / Handover

What is transferred, and what costs continue.

The proposal states what you own and receive. Outside services, licences and renewals may have their own terms and costs.

Ownership and third-party services

06

In plain English Your proposal identifies the website deliverables, agreed files, domain and hosting arrangements, and access to be transferred. Third-party software and assets remain under their own licences. Hosting, domain renewals and paid plugins are disclosed separately.

Full term

05 / Ask first

Questions and secure access.

Ask about an unclear term before approving the proposal. Use the agreed secure method for project access.
