WordPress websites built for your business.

New websites, thoughtful redesigns and planned migrations. We make WordPress useful for your customers and manageable for your team, when it is the right fit.

Choose the right foundation

Is WordPress right for your business?

SiteGuys designs and develops WordPress websites for businesses in Canada and the USA. WordPress can be a strong choice when your team needs to update pages, publish content or manage a store. We recommend it when those needs fit your project.

A good fit when…

Your team needs agreed editing control over services, articles, images or products, and the website can grow with your content.

Business sites · publishing · content-managed stores

Another approach may fit better when…

You rarely change content, need a very lean public site or are building a complex application. We can recommend a different build if it serves the project better.

Structure before software

Plan the website. Then build it.

We do not start with a theme and force your business into it. The customer journey and your editing needs shape the WordPress setup.

Useful control, without guesswork

Know what your team can change.

We agree which content should be editable, configure it accordingly and show your team how to use it. The exact controls depend on your project.

Built with judgment

A WordPress website should feel made for you.

01 / The design

Designed around your business, not a template.

We may use custom layouts, an appropriate theme or block editing, with custom development where needed. Your proposal explains the approach. The result should reflect your brand and customer path, not the limits of a generic template.

Redesign or migration

Keep what already works. Improve what does not.

Before moving an existing website to WordPress, redesigning WordPress or changing hosts, we review what must be preserved. The migration plan depends on what we find.

01 / Keep

Existing value

Useful content, important URLs, search visibility, forms and tracking should be identified before changes begin.

02 / Move

Agreed content

We map pages, media, redirects, accounts and relevant data to the new setup where included in the scope.

03 / Check

Real journeys

We test key customer actions and review the live site after launch. A migration needs care, not a promise of zero risk.

Your website, with the next steps clear.

The proposal states what access and guidance you receive at handover, who is responsible for hosting and updates, and which ongoing costs are separate.

Hosting
We review your existing host or recommend a suitable option. Hosting is separate unless your quote says otherwise.
Updates & backups
WordPress core, themes and plugins need compatible updates and backups. Optional Website Care can cover agreed ongoing work.
Access & ownership
Your written proposal identifies domain, administrator, files and account arrangements. Third-party software keeps its own licence terms.
Practical answers

Before you choose WordPress.

These details should be clear before you approve a project, not discovered after launch.

01How much does a WordPress website cost, and how long will it take?

WordPress does not automatically require custom pricing. A focused one-page website starts at $499 CAD; a typical five-page business website is approximately $1,499–$2,500 CAD, plus applicable taxes, when the agreed requirements fit those options. More pages, custom design, ecommerce features or migration can add work. Your free written quote confirms the inclusions, schedule, separate costs and final price before work begins.

02Can my team update the website without breaking the design?

Yes, for the content areas included in your agreed WordPress setup. SiteGuys plans which text, images, articles, products or other content your team should edit and provides guidance at handover. Layout changes or complex features may require developer support. Staff roles can be set to match responsibilities.

03Do you use a theme or make a custom WordPress design?

The approach depends on the project. We may use a suitable theme, block editing, custom layouts or custom development. We explain the choice in your proposal, with the design shaped around your business and customers rather than around a generic template.

04Can you redesign my existing WordPress website or migrate from another platform?

Yes. We first review your existing pages, important URLs, useful content, forms, tracking, integrations and any data that needs to move. The written scope identifies what will be preserved or redirected and what migration work is included. A migration is planned carefully, but cannot be promised risk-free.

05What about plugins and paid software?

We choose tools only when a required feature calls for them and consider compatibility, security, performance and future upkeep. Plugins or subscriptions that have a separate licence fee are identified before you approve the quote. Third-party licences remain subject to their provider terms.

06Is WordPress hosting included? Can I use my current host?

Hosting is separate unless your written quote expressly includes it. We can review your current host and recommend a suitable option if its speed, support or configuration does not suit the project. The proposal specifies who manages the hosting account and any recurring cost.

07Who handles WordPress updates, backups and security after launch?

WordPress core, themes and plugins need compatible updates, backups and sensible security practices. The build and prelaunch checks are defined in your quote. Ongoing hosting, maintenance and care are separate options, with responsibilities and costs agreed in writing. No website can be guaranteed immune to compromise.

08Who owns the website and gets administrator access?

Your written proposal identifies ownership, domain and hosting account arrangements, administrator access and any agreed files. The standard final payment is due after completion and before launch and handover. Third-party software and licensed assets remain subject to their own terms.
